  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • Tangzhong (from recipe above)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peach filling by mixing cubed peaches with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine water, bread flour, sugar, yeast, salt, milk, cream, egg, tangzhong, and vanilla. Mix well and knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 90 minutes until doubled.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it.
  5. Layer thinly sliced peaches and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before rolling tightly into a log.
  6. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Prepare the crumb topping by mixing butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour until crumbly; sprinkle over rolls.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. For the glaze, beat melted butter with cream cheese and mix in powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
