  • 1 lb. pasta (bucatini, spaghetti, pappardelle, or fettuccine)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • 2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp. lemon zest
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon zest plus 3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot for pasta.
  2. Season chicken with olive oil, lemon zest, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook seasoned chicken in a high-sided skillet until golden brown; set aside.
  4. Cook pasta until al dente; reserve some cooking water before draining.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic in butter; add cream and broth to simmer.
  6. Stir in parsley and cheese before mixing in cooked pasta and chicken.
  7. Toss well; adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and lemon juice.
