  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk for runnier frosting)
  • 4 Oreos (crushed)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water and granulated sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, crushed Oreos, sea salt, softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and warm milk. Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and stir until the dough forms into a ball.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together softened butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and crushed Oreos until well combined.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle approximately ¼ inch thick. Spread the filling mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough. Starting from one long side, roll up tightly into a log shape.
  6. Slice into 12 equal pieces and place on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened butter, powdered sugar, sea salt, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth.
  9. Once cooled slightly from baking, generously spread frosting over each roll. Top with additional crushed Oreos for garnish if desired.
