  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tablespoon heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, then cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cooled brown butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Mash the bananas and mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; gently fold into the wet mixture.
  5. Pour half the batter into a greased loaf pan; sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Layer remaining batter on top and prepare the crumble by mixing melted butter, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  7. Sprinkle crumble over the loaf and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 60–70 minutes or until done.
  8. Cool before slicing.
